Hello, my name is Mike Love, Director of The SW Florida Enterprise Center (SWFEC) and I want to welcome you to our new SWFL Enterprise Center Foundation website.
The Foundation was created to help raise funds in support of the SWFL Enterprise Center’s entrepreneurial and educational programs as well as major projects and initiatives.
Currently, as the main component of the SWFL Enterprise Center Culinary & Hospitality Institute, we have begun a very ambitious program to create a professional and certified Commercial Kitchen on our property. This Commercial Kitchen will have all of the tools, equipment and support for community members to cost-effectively gain access to it to develop their food related businesses. All sorts of food industry businesses like restaurants, caterers, food trucks, chefs, non-profits, culinary schools and the like will directly benefit from the kitchen. Then, with our special culinary programs, individuals in the community can learn more about the industry, learn how to become a chef and about the hospitality industry. We’re extremely excited about this new venture and are currently raising funds to complete the project. See our Culinary & Hospitality Institute page to learn more how you can help or sign up for upcoming news about it.
The Enterprise Center itself, that the Foundation supports, is a business incubator funded by the City of Fort Myers and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). It’s mission is to be a learning laboratory for entrepreneurial enterprises and to provide assistance and support to the entrepreneur so that he or she may realize the full potential of their enterprise and of themselves as business owners and managers. Our tenants not only get subsidized rents but they have other benefits including having access to our numerous educational programs in our Classroom unit and our monthly B2B Luncheon.
On this site you can learn more about the Foundation, get updates on our primary projects – like the Institute and Commercial Kitchen projects as well as the other Farm-To-Table EcoSystem Initiatives, read through our library of helpful business and entrepreneurial articles and view informational videos.
If you have any questions about the Foundation, our mission or would like to provide financial assistance to our Institute or any one of our other projects, please feel free to call us at (239) 321-7086 or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
